Air Source Heat Pump Engineer

Salary: £42,000 - £58,000 per annum

The Role

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air source heat pump systems for residential clients. This role requires technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Commissioning: Install and commission air source heat pump systems in line with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide clients with clear guidance on system operation and answer any technical queries.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety standards, building regulations, and MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) requirements.
  • Site Surveys: Assist in performing site surveys to assess suitability for air source heat pump installations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Safety: With their commitment to Zero Harm for their customers and public alike, adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while on site.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air source heat pumps.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent qualification.
  • F-Gas Certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience with electrical connections and wiring of heating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable heating systems and energy efficiency principles.
  • Valid UK driving license
  • Clean DBS
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
