Location:Leicester
Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-site)
Salary:Up to 60,000 DOE
About the Role:Our client, a renowned name in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join their team. This is a pivotal role, as the successful candidate will be the most senior technical person on site, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical team to maintain and enhance quality assurance processes.
- Oversee all aspects of technical operations, including New Product Development (NPD), specifications, and raw materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety standards and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the technical department.
- Collaborate closely with production, supply chain, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide technical expertise and support to all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a technical management role within the manufacturing/FMCG sector; experience in food manufacturing is highly preferable.
- Strong background in quality assurance, NPD, and raw materials management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
