We are hiring for a Merchandiser to join our client's team in Leicester. This role involves working in a dynamic fashion environment, supporting the sales process and coordinating with various departments to ensure the smooth production and delivery of products to clients.

Duties of a Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser, you will:

  • Coordinate with customer buyers and merchandisers regarding production and delivery requirements.
  • Manage the critical path to ensure timely approvals, production, and deliveries.
  • Create detailed job sheets and raise new orders on internal systems.
  • Organise final deliveries, including preparing booking requests and packing lists.
  • Track project progress using business software like Airtable and other tools.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Design, Production, and Head of Merchandising) to ensure collaboration and efficiency.
  • Oversee sample submissions and approvals to meet client specifications.

Skills and Experience of a Merchandiser

To succeed as a Merchandiser, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a merchandising role, preferably with a fashion supplier or retailer.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, with a focus on time management and organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.
  • Familiarity with software tools for tracking progress and data management.
  • An ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.

It would be beneficial to this role if you also had:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think proactively.
  • Experience with critical path management.
  • Access to reliable transportation, as the site is accessible by car, public transport, walking, or cycling.
