We are hiring for a Merchandiser to join our client's team in Leicester. This role involves working in a dynamic fashion environment, supporting the sales process and coordinating with various departments to ensure the smooth production and delivery of products to clients.
Duties of a Merchandiser
As a Merchandiser, you will:
- Coordinate with customer buyers and merchandisers regarding production and delivery requirements.
- Manage the critical path to ensure timely approvals, production, and deliveries.
- Create detailed job sheets and raise new orders on internal systems.
- Organise final deliveries, including preparing booking requests and packing lists.
- Track project progress using business software like Airtable and other tools.
- Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Design, Production, and Head of Merchandising) to ensure collaboration and efficiency.
- Oversee sample submissions and approvals to meet client specifications.
Skills and Experience of a Merchandiser
To succeed as a Merchandiser, you should have:
- At least 2 years of experience in a merchandising role, preferably with a fashion supplier or retailer.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, with a focus on time management and organisation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and internal teams.
- Familiarity with software tools for tracking progress and data management.
- An ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
It would be beneficial to this role if you also had:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think proactively.
- Experience with critical path management.
- Access to reliable transportation, as the site is accessible by car, public transport, walking, or cycling.
