Job Role: Furniture Maker

Location: Leicester, Hinckley, Loughborough

Working Hours: Day Shift, Night Shift

Pay Rate: up to £18.00 per hour.

The Company:

This is a manufacturing business with a fantastic reputation based in Leicestershire. As a company they create, make bespoke furniture for some big brand names and high spec commercial premises across the UK.

The Bench Hand Joiner Role:

Due to continued growth, the company is now recruiting an experienced Furniture Makre, Bench Hand Joiner.

The Candidate:

  • Experience working with furniture, bespoke joinery, shopfitting units/counters, back wall displays, glass cabinets - Desirable.
  • Experience working with MDF & Laminates - Essential
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Ability to comprise, read and interpret cutting lists.
  • Assembly of furniture
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Fill sand and finish wooden products.
  • Confident using standard joinery machinery (saws, edge bander, routers) and standard hand tools.
  • Good communications skills
  • A team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Work in a safe manner, adhering to company procedures.
