Field Engineer Scheduler
£200 per day, outside IR35
4 month contract initially (extendable)
Full-time onsite in Leicester
Job Summary:
The Field Engineer Scheduler is responsible for efficiently planning, coordinating, and scheduling field engineers for a nationwide deployment project. This role ensures that all field operations are executed smoothly and on time while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules for field engineers, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and field engineers to schedule and prioritize work orders.
- Adjust schedules in response to unforeseen issues such as emergencies, delays, or changes in project scope.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field engineers, clients, and internal departments.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Facilitate regular meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and resource allocation.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, work orders, and project details.
- Generate reports on scheduling efficiency, project timelines, and resource utilization.
- Document any scheduling conflicts or issues and propose solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing clear communication and prompt responses to inquiries and concerns.
- Address client complaints or issues related to scheduling promptly and effectively
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all scheduled activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines in all scheduling activities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and implement best practices.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to field operations and scheduling.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of field service operations and engineering principles.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours or overtime as needed.
