An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Stroke Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in an inpatient setting in Leicester. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of stroke patients as they work through their rehabilitation journey. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care and support to patients in their recovery process.

Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough assessments of stroke patients and developing individualised rehabilitation plans.
- Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance independence and mobility.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and medical professionals.
- Supporting patients in regaining activities of daily living (ADLs) and promoting functional independence.
- Delivering evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to the needs of each patient.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families on stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
- Ensuring all therapy practices adhere to the highest professional and clinical standards.
Skills and Experience
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience in stroke rehabilitation, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning skills and experience in developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with outcome measurement tools and documentation.
