We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join an established team of therapists providing services to medical wards within a trust in the Midlands.
Main Duties:
- You will be part of the wider multidisciplinary team, working on the acute medical wards to assess and treat patients with various clinical conditions, including frailty, endocrinology, gastroenterology, oncology, and general medical conditions.
- You will assess and treat patients referred to the service with the goal of facilitating efficient and effective discharge from the acute setting.
- You will ensure excellent communication with patients, their relatives, and carers.
- You will receive support to develop your clinical and leadership skills from the Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist and Clinical Team Leader.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration with OT qualifications.
- Appropriate clinical experience in an acute setting.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
