Do you have a passion for helping others regain independence and improve their quality of life?Service Care Solutions is excited to support our private client in their search for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team.Our client offers specialised mental health care with a 30-bed facility, providing acute admissions within a safe and secure environment. This part-time role, based in Leicester, will involve working closely with patients to assess and deliver tailored therapy plans to support their rehabilitation.Key Details:

  • Location: Leicester, LE3 6QR
  • Contract: Permanent - 8 hours per week (part-time)
  • Rate of Pay: £44,990.04 (FTE) + £250 bonus
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a specialised setting while working with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals!Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' occupational therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans to promote rehabilitation and independence.
  • Prepare detailed occupational therapy reports, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress in line with professional and company standards.
  • Coordinate and manage the clinical occupational therapy services, ensuring that all therapy activities meet the specific needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with care workers and activity staff to develop and oversee appropriate activity programmes for patients, both within and beyond the care setting.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records, and provide regular activity and audit reports as required.
  • Assess and recommend equipment to support rehabilitation and enhance quality of life, ensuring proper instruction and safety guidance are communicated to patients and staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimise therapeutic outcomes.
  • Support the organisation in delivering, managing, and monitoring the effectiveness of the occupational therapy service.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with registration from the appropriate professional body (HCPC).
  • At least 6 months of experience working as an Occupational Therapist, with a genuine passion for caring and helping people.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
