Looking to take your skills to the next level in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment? A leading optics company is searching for a motivated Optical Technician to support their Fabrication Department.

This is a hands-on, technical role working with advanced coating equipment and precision optical components. If you have a solid understanding of optical processes or a background in engineering, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Running high-spec coating processes across various plants

  • Measuring and assessing optical quality using spectrophotometers

  • Identifying and correcting defects to ensure perfect results

  • Supporting new product development and continuous improvement

  • Performing preventative maintenance and ensuring clean, efficient operations

  • Collaborating with other departments to meet customer specifications

  • Training and supporting colleagues within the team

What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications in Maths and/or Physics (GCSE or A-level)

  • Solid understanding of optical manufacturing or relevant engineering background

  • Great communication and computer skills

  • Detail-focused with good handling skills

  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and confident team player

Desirable (but not essential):
  • Experience with ultrasonic cleaning and environmental testing to ISO/MIL standards
