About the Role:
Are you an English, Science, or Maths graduate? Have you completed a Higher Level TA qualification? Or have you tutored/coached groups of children and young people to raise attainment?

GSL Education are currently looking for Cover Supervisors and Unqualified Teachers to work at an SEN School in Leicester.

The role involves working 1:1 with children with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, aggression, SEMH, LAC, CSE/CSA, and those at risk of harm to themselves or others, as well as individuals with attachment difficulties. Full-time and bank opportunities are available.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with planning, assessments, and marking.
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons independently during the class teacher’s absence.
  • Ensuring that the children are always in a safe learning environment.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group booster sessions within and out of the classroom.
  • Covering PPA periods.
  • Being creative with wall and classroom displays.
  • You will also be required to deliver behaviour, numeracy, literacy, and social interventions.

Initially, this is to start on a temporary basis; however, there is potential for this to become a long-term role for the right candidate.

To register you must have:

  • A valid right to work document.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (we can provide details on how to apply for one if you don’t already have it).
  • Two proofs of address (addressed to yourself within the last 3 months).
  • An Overseas Criminal Clearance if you have been out of the UK for more than 6 months over the past 5 years.
  • Relevant qualifications, training, and/or experience.
  • Should have a full driver’s license and access to a car (desired but not necessary).
