This business is driving improvements across all areas of the business but are investing heavily in their HSEQ strategy. As the Interim HSEQ Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting operational teams in embedding behavioural safety and ensuring consistency across sites.

Client Details

This is a well-established business that are looking to invest in developing clear and repeatable HSEQ processes across the group. As the Interim HSEQ Manager, you will be working with all levels within the business in order to assess sites & maintain best practice across the business.

Description

This role gives you the chance to work closely with the site operational teams, promoting and encouraging best practice across the region. As the Interim HSEQ Manager you will be overseeing a cluster of sites with a base in the East Midlands area ensuring the business continues to move forward on their Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for Quality and Health, Safety and Environmental activities across a cluster of sites.
  • Lead and manage the QSHE function to enforce consistent improvement, implementing new quality processes and systems when needed.
  • Lead the QHSE team, driving a culture of safety and quality across the organisation.
  • Support in development and implementation of QHSE strategy and objectives.
  • Ensure adherence and company wide compliance to ISO standards (ISO 14001, 45001 & 9001).
  • Represent the company in regard to quality from a customer facing perspective, including customer visits to ensure their expectations are accurately understood.
  • Lead and mentor all levels of the business to inspire a positive HSE culture
  • Oversee the Environmental Management System.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess QHSE performance.
  • Input measures to prevent non-conformances, customer complaints and reworks, developing corrective and preventative actions within the appropriate time-frame.
  • Manage relationships with external bodies and regulators.
  • Prepare and present reports on QHSE performance to senior management.
  • Lead investigations into any incidents or near misses, and implement corrective actions.

This role will require weekly travel, for which expenses will be paid.

Profile

An HSEQ specialist available at short notice with first-hand experience of managing HSE & Quality within a distribution or manufacturing environment. The successful applicant will have:

  • A NEBOSH certificate
  • Established ISO management experience and knowledge of HSQE legislation and ISO standards ISO9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Internal and external Audit experience would be advantageous
  • Experience conducting risk assessment
  • Experience recommending & supporting in the implementation HSEQ improvement plans
  • The ability to lead a team & work with a multi-disciplined operations in order to champion a HSE aware workforce
  • The ability to drive consistent improvements across multiple sites
  • Excellent communication skills & the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organisation
