MIS and Examinations Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated MIS and Examinations Assistant to support the provision of an efficient and responsive examinations service to students and staff. This role is crucial in contributing to the work of the CIS and Examinations team, ensuring smooth operations during exam seasons and maintaining accurate student records.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide administrative assistance to the CIS and Examinations team, working closely with the manager to drive efficiency and quality improvements.
  • Offer advice and assistance to staff and students regarding examination procedures and paperwork, including organising and administering both internal and external exam arrangements.
  • Assist with the processes for entering students for examinations, collecting examination fees, and providing special arrangements for students with additional support needs.
  • Help manage the distribution of examination timetables, resolve examination clashes, and ensure the security of examination materials.
  • Assist with issuing results to students and coordinating procedures for post-result enquiries and remarks.
  • Support data entry related to attendance, including data for college trips, staff absences, and examinations, ensuring accuracy.
  • Manage daily absence communications to parents and students and support the CIS team with data collation or processing.
  • Assist with timetabling, including changes, register maintenance, and room bookings.
  • Help with the printing and downloading of prospective student applications and acknowledge receipt of these applications.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of enrolment and start-of-year processes, including the maintenance and management of student records.
  • Provide student information to external agencies as required, adhering to the College’s Data Protection Policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with examination processes and student data management.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in using data management systems and office software.
