Payroll Assistant - Part-time, Hybrid | Leicester | £28,000 - £35,000 (FTE)

Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? We're partnering with an SME in Leicester to recruit a Payroll Assistant for a permanent, part-time role, working one or two days per week.

This is a fantastic chance to join a growing business, bringing payroll expertise in-house. If you have a strong understanding of payroll processes and are confident managing end-to-end payroll, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

In this role, you'll take ownership of payroll processing across three monthly payrolls, covering fewer than 100 employees in total. You'll also work closely with management to address payroll queries and ensure compliance with regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing monthly payroll across multiple entities.
  • Addressing and resolving payroll-related queries.
  • Calculating payroll adjustments, including pensions and other contributions.
  • Supporting payroll compliance and providing expertise on best practices.
What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Confidence to work in a standalone payroll position.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll adjustments and their calculations.
  • A solid understanding of payroll and pension compliance requirements.
