Your New Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a contract Maintenance Plumber to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account at HMP Moorland, Doncaster.


This role is based on-site and is initially for 3 months, with a view for extension and the option to go permanent for the right person.


You’ll need to work 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of your basic salary.



Our Client – a national FM provider, support His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing safe, clean, and efficient prisons. Using their facilities management expertise, they help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.



As a Maintenance Plumber, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that both planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out safely, compliantly, and on time.



Standard hours: 39 hours per week (across 7 days with a weekend shift pattern).



You Will Be Responsible For

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Fault finding and identification of life-expired equipment.
• Perform mains water supply repairs.
• Carry out inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments.
• Minimising wastage and continually improving processes.
• Ensuring statutory works are carried out on time and compliant.
• Supporting both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner.
• Ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

What makes this role unique is that you will ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and to the agreed method statements. Prison Security Clearance will be required (we will support you through this process).

We Want To Hear From You If You Have

• Full driving licence.
• Appropriate Trade qualification (Level 3).

Ideally, you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance (NVQ level 2 or time served applications may also be considered)
