Your Role
As a compassionate and resilient Year 5/6 Teacher you will work at a specialist school for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role involves teaching Year 5/6 students working at a Year 4 level, with a focus on supporting their emotional and academic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH challenges.
- Build strong, trusting relationships to foster a sense of safety and belonging in the classroom.
- Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Monitor progress and provide personalised feedback to encourage growth and confidence.
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to create a holistic approach to each child's education.
Qualifications
- QTS and experience teaching KS2 students, preferably with SEMH.
- Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to empowering every child to succeed.
