Stock Purchasing Administrator

Full-Time - Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm 35 Hours Per Week

Basic Salary: £ to £30,000.00 Per Annum plus benefits

Location: Thurmaston, Leicester

Our very well-established manufacturing client are looking for a skilled and experienced Stock Purchasing Assistant to join their business on a Full Time Permanent basis as a Stock Purchasing Administrator and support the Purchasing Manager in ensuring the smooth process within the manufacturing process.

Stock Purchasing Administrator Role:

  • Responsible for Stock, Purchasing and other Administration duties in line with on-going requirements as a Stock Purchasing Administrator
  • Supporting the Procurement Manager as a Stock Purchasing Administrator with sourcing of new raw material and packaging
  • Liaise with the warehouse team and book received goods electronically
  • Conduct regular stock count and reconciliation for all materials held as a Stock Purchasing Administrator
  • Maintain material and Packaging cost accurately on the system as a Stock Purchasing Administrator
  • Requesting and chasing supplier approval documentation from new suppliers
  • Formulate all product sampling request on timely manner.
  • Support ongoing Projects as and when required in line with business improvements as a Stock Purchasing Administrator
  • Raising Purchase orders ensuring accuracy
  • Communicate any potential delays, supply, or product issues to the impacted teams.
  • Checking suppliers can meet required delivery dates when no orders confirmation received.

Stock Purchasing Administrator Candidate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum
  • At least 2 years FMCG experience ideally gained within the food industry
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator both written and verbal
  • Ability to make decisions and use initiative
  • Ability to cope with multiple tasks and priorities
