Summary: Quality Inspector

GI Pro are working with a leading aerospace client in Leicester and are recruiting for a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis. Working a days and afternoons weekly rotating pattern.

Overtime paid at a premium - x.1.38 in the week & x 1.45 Saturday & Sunday

Permanent contract with multiple benefits including PPE provided and 33 days holiday including stat

The role: Quality Inspector

  • Use of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, shadow graph, DTI, plug and ring gauges, thread measuring equipment, etc. to perform required inspections
  • Responsible for a range of inspections such as Conduct In Receiving, In Process, Final or FAIR inspections
  • Maintain all records & participate in in audits/surveillances when required
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming product per established procedures
  • Move completed work to next staging area
  • Manual handling requirement including heavy lifting work

The candidate

  • At least 2 years' experience within a quality control role
  • Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing company
  • Able to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Able to work to imperial measurements and select the correct gauges for the tolerance
  • Must be able to maintain paper and electronic records to a high standard
