Job Outline:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Team Leader to oversee our production operations. The successful candidate will enhance productivity, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and lead a team to achieve manufacturing excellence. Our leaders inspire and motivate their teams while maintaining a keen eye for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing personnel in a high-volume production environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate targets.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and maintain seamless operations.
  • Monitor production standards and quality control measures.
  • Ensure team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
  • Handle conflict resolution and perform problem-solving as necessary.
  • Support the training of new team members and ensure all team members are competent in their roles.
  • Implement and support continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure all manufacturing records are completed appropriately and accurately.
  • Follow the escalation procedure for quality concerns.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
  • Manage operators’ attendance, employee-related issues, 1:1s, and performance reviews.
  • Identify areas for improvement and initiate projects aimed at lowering costs and improving quality.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant manufacturing management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Leadership and team management skills.

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Manufacturing background.
  • Previous experience as a People Leader in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the GP MRP/ERP System or a similar system.
