About the role
This is a pivotal role within the university's digital transformation journey, focusing on enhancing their digital platforms and user experiences. You will be responsible for shaping the roadmap for the university's technology and digital presence, ensuring it meets the needs of key audiences, including prospective students, current students, academics, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as the C Suite professionals, Heads of Departments and faculty representatives, to gather and prioritise user requirements. You'll need to have the confidence and gravitas to manage stakeholder expectations and push back where necessary.
  • User Journey Optimisation: Analyse current website performance and user journeys, identifying areas for improvement and delivering a strategic plan to enhance the user experience.
  • Project Roadmap: Scope out and deliver a comprehensive roadmap for improvements to the platforms, ensuring that all enhancements are aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Interpret digital analytics and user data to inform decision-making and feed insights into the improvement roadmap.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Project Manager, particularly within technology/web-based or app projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics.
  • A solid understanding of user journey optimisation and digital content strategy.
  • Confidence interpreting data and integrating insights into project roadmaps.
  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
