Description
Support the FMCG Food Procurement manager creating, inputting and recommend a Commodity RiskManagement (CRM) plan for the defined area which the leadership team can approve
Other responsibilities include:
* Support the Procurement manager whilst owning a defined area.* Ownership of the movement of PPV v Budget and clear understanding on the drivers* Managing raw material & finished Goods placing purchase orders to suppliers to ensure 100% OTIF to customers using appropriate tools within the business.* Close out accounts payable queries to reduce the outstanding invoice for your defined area.* Reviewing and drafting supplier contracts to provide terms for benefit* Drafting and executing RFI'S and RFQ's, finalising recommendation for sign offs beforeimplementation* Source new suppliers, de list non performing suppliers and provide a clear plan for yoursuppliers using the vendor management process through Grow, Maintain, Decline* Input into annual budget process and identifying risk & opportunities. Take action tominimise risk and optimise opportunities,* Create category efficiencies that align with procurement processes and policies, whilemanaging internal stakeholder engagement.* Finalise claims with suppliers leading to credit notes to recover losses* Request new supplier set ups through the master data management process
Profile
To be successful in this Category Buyer - Food (FMCG) role in Leicestershire you will have:
- FMCG Food Manufacturing Experience
- SAP/MRP/ERP experience
- Be able to negotiate successfuly with suppliers
- CIPS or willing to work towards CIPS
- Experience in supplier management
- Excel advanced user (Vlook Ups, Pivot Tables)
