Description
- Manage IT procurement activities, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with company objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement progress to senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to procurement laws, regulations and ethical practices.
- Identify areas for improvement in the procurement process.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency in procurement activities.
Profile
A successful IT Buyer should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT procurement within a retail environment.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement software and technologies.
- Strong understanding of procurement laws and regulations.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
