In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring materials & packaging are available to meet demand, through your effective ordering and inventory control processes.

The Company

A UK leading food manufacturer that produces household food favourites. Their chilled and ambient products are sold in every major supermarket and consist of No1 UK brands.

The Role

Sat within an established and busy planning team, this role will see you liaising with a variety of internal and external parties, including suppliers and hauliers to ensure high levels of service are maintained both efficiently and cost-effectively.

Your duties will include.

  • Supplier management/ Stock control/ stock investigations etc
  • Ensure forecast information is correct, daily systems up-dates & Master data in Excel is correct.
  • Placing orders with suppliers, ensuring deliveries are scheduled to meet production demand.
  • Daily use of department KPI’s to identify appropriate resource stock levels, minimising waste, and redundant stock write-offs.
  • Work with NPD to ensure future demand is met for any launches and promos

Your Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role you will need to have excellent communication skills a team player attitude and previous planning experience in a manufacturing environment. You will also need.

  • Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Confident Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Adaptable in high-pressure environments
