The Procurement Vehicle Lead will project manage specific platforms, liaising with Product Planning, Engineering Platform Leads, Project Management Office and Procurement to develop platform strategies and ensure the delivery of all Procurement activities on new programmes on time.

To be successful in this Manufacturing business as Procurement Lead (Leicestershire) you will have experience of:

  • Supporting on time delivery of new programmes within their platform group.
  • Ensure those plans support maintaining and building on our high quality standards.
  • Reduce development lead-times of new model parts
  • Deliver programmes to budget for BOM cost and investment
  • Facilitate bringing new market technologies to our products expediently.

Profile

  • Experience within project or purchasing experience
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AS400 and Infor LN Personality and Motivation
  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Analytical & Logical
  • Able to take instruction and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, clear and concise written and verbal skills
  • Be commercially able to develop fact based problem evaluations
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills problem solving, can-do attitude, self-motivation, and be able to influence
  • Attention to detail and having a high degree of accuracy but at the same time be able to see the "bigger picture"
  • Multi-tasking experience and flexibility to address immediate priorities and still manage deadlines with longer-term projects and strategic initiatives
