My client, is a leading company in the procurement and supply chain industry is seeking a talented Category Buyer / Senior Category Buyer to join their dynamic team. This exciting role focuses on managing a selection of suppliers in either the Powertrain or Chassis commodities, ensuring exceptional value through strategic sourcing for direct components in motorcycle production.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Category Buyer, you will:

Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing initiatives to support production growth, optimize costs, and drive efficiency.
Supplier Relationship Management: Lead and nurture supplier relationships to ensure quality standards, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement.
Innovation Integration: Identify and incorporate cutting-edge market technologies to enhance product offerings.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and deliver data-driven recommendations for supplier selection and value optimization.
Cost Management: Drive cost-saving initiatives through negotiations, value engineering, and strategic supply base optimization.
Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing procurement team.

What We're Looking For

Experience: Proven expertise in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Education: A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous (or equivalent purchasing experience).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
