Leicestershire (Covering projects Nationwide based from Head Office)
Client: Main Contractor
Projects: Healthcare specialist Fit-Out / Refurb (plus some commercial / education)
Salary: Circa £42k £55k DOE + car allowance + package + benefits
Our client is a Main Contractor working in the Healthcare, Commercial & Education sectors - projects up to circa £10m each
You should ideally have the following;
Experience working on refurbishments projects in the above noted sectors (healthcare, commercial, education) in an Estimating capacity is essential for this role
Good Understanding of both JCT & NEC Forms of Contract.
SMM7 and/or NRM experience
Degree Qualified or relevant Construction related qualification + 3-5 years estimating experience for a main contractor - ideally in healthcare, commercial or education sectors.
Excellent IT Skills (in particular Microsoft office)
Eligibility to achieve enhanced DBS check (which will be obtained by the company as part of onboarding) due to the nature of the projects delivered.
You will be assisting the pre-con team to produce competitive tender submissions - using both trade package contract enquiries & first-principle pricing methods.
Due to projects being location Nationwide occasional travel/overnight lodging may be required so the suitable candidate should be willing & able to accommodate this
Estimating duties include: review of tender docs to establish material & sub-contract trade package requirements + produce takeoffs + all associated estimating duties + pricing of project prelims based on programme duration & identify pre-lim requirements eg. waste, welfare, protection).
