Your new companyHays Business Support are seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised temporary Receptionist located in Birstall. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support.Your new roleThis role is a temporary role to start at the beginning of December up until February 2025. The working hours required are Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Receive and greet visitors to the building, issuing visitor identification badges and directing them to their required location
  • To receive incoming administrative calls during office hours and ensure that they are processed, including the transferring of calls
  • To distribute incoming correspondence and communications in accordance with agreed procedures
  • To maintain a safe and clean reception desk and area
  • To carry out a variety of administrative tasks and duties commensurate with the role
  • To carry out Data input to update and maintain information

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 6 months experience working as a receptionist as well as having basic ICT skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel. You must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
