Laptop Technician - Leicester - £26,000-28,000

ECS are currently recruiting for a Laptop Technician to join and expanding IT services team. The role will require diagnosis of a variety of Laptops and workstations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues (motherboards, screens, keyboards, and power supply components).
  • Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and replacing parts.
  • Test and validate the functionality of repaired laptops to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Update and maintain hardware firmware as needed.

Skills/Experience:

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hardware components of laptops from various manufacturers (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo).
  • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows & Linux to perform diagnostics.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and soldering equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience in laptop repair or hardware break-fix engineering.
