Laptop Technician - Leicester - £26,000-28,000
ECS are currently recruiting for a Laptop Technician to join and expanding IT services team. The role will require diagnosis of a variety of Laptops and workstations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues (motherboards, screens, keyboards, and power supply components).
- Perform component-level repairs, including soldering and replacing parts.
- Test and validate the functionality of repaired laptops to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Update and maintain hardware firmware as needed.
Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hardware components of laptops from various manufacturers (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo).
- Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows & Linux to perform diagnostics.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools and soldering equipment.
- 2+ years of experience in laptop repair or hardware break-fix engineering.
