We are delighted to be retained by a prominent manufacturing business who are seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Group Product Manager, to lead on the development of new products and the management of existing manufactured products.

Located in Leicestershire, this organisation is a leading player in the manufacturing sector. Boasting a workforce of circa 500 employees in the UK, they are renowned for their strong market presence and commitment to providing top-tier services to their broad client base.

Description

  • Responsibility for the continuous development of the Workplace Storage Solutions product line
  • Design and implement product strategies that align with the company's objectives.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop and launch new products.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs.
  • Preparation of functional and requirement specifications for new product developments and enhancements.
  • Ensure all products comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage product-related projects and monitor their progress.
  • Provide training and support to team members.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Evaluate promotional plans with our marketing team to ensure they are consistent with product strategy
  • Conduct annual pricing reviews and ongoing margin analysis.
  • UK team lead (line report) for UK R&D employees and members of the UK Product Data Team.
  • Represent the company at customers and trade shows to gain feedback on company products and services.
  • Regular travel to UK Sites and across Europe

Profile

A successful Group Product Manager should have:

  • A strong educational background in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product management within the B2B Manufacturing/Industrial sector.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of market research methods and data analysis.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Experience of translating brand and customer insight into product and service requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen including understanding of pricing and residual value management and able to manage regional requirements and relationships.
