The Role
As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precise execution of works on this 12-month project. Your skills in setting out, surveying, and quality control will be essential to maintaining the highest standards of construction and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately set out and level works in line with project requirements.
- Perform surveys and maintain detailed, accurate site records.
- Interpret technical drawings and provide setting out solutions.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve technical queries.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Prepare as-built documentation and assist with quality assurance processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in setting out on civil engineering projects (experience in water or infrastructure projects is highly desirable).
- Proficient in using modern setting out equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
- A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, or Degree).
- Valid CSCS card.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
