We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Controls Engineer to join our clients team.Our team and what we do:They design, build and deliver automation projects across a range of sectors, efficiently and successfully, with the aim to become a market leader in Controls and Automation Solutions.Your role and what you’ll be doing:In this role you will work on projects in Automotive, Warehousing, Airport baggage and Process Controls environments. You will be involved from the early stages of projects with input to tenders and by writing Functional Design Specifications. You will follow this through software build, in-house testing with Emulation (FAT), on-site commissioning, handover (SAT) and go-live support – all with the support of our engineering team.As a Controls Engineer you will deliver technical solutions that meet the customers’ needs, compliant with industry standards. Your week will be a combination of site visits and office collaboration. You will be working with PLCs/ HMIs/ Drives/ Robots.Your responsibilities:
  • Preparation of technical details, specifications and tenders for Control Systems projects.
  • Ensure company standards are followed and maintained
  • Build software using company library blocks as well as bespoke coding
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Deliver on-site commissioning through to on-going support stages
  • Be compliant to Health and Safety Standards
Qualifications and experience:
  • Relevant Engineering qualification/apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of industrial networks
  • An interest to develop skills in PLC / HMI/ Drives configuration, testing and commissioning
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
Essentials
  • Must be able to work within the UK without a sponsorship requirement
  • Hold a full driving licence and be prepared to travel and work away from home
