We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company, committed to delivering exceptional service and quality to their valued customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join their team to help maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer role:

  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure machinery is operating efficiently and safely.
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Accurately document all work carried out, including parts used, repairs completed, and any additional observations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.


The ideal Workshop Engineer candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the plant machinery or heavy equipment industry.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • It will be an advantage is you hold a relevant engineering qualification e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues efficiently.
  • Strong focus on delivering high-quality work with attention to detail.
