Business Development Manager- CNC Machining

Our high-precision engineering industry client is seeking a Business Development Manager. The candidate will work closely with the Machine Shop, Production and Marketing departments. This is a new position with lots of growth potential and is key to the success of their Engineering Manufacturing Services. The role will be instrumental in expanding existing business and establishing new customers in this division.

Requirements:-

• A proven, competent Engineer, whether through apprenticeship, academic, or time served.
• Minimum of 5 year’s experience in any one of:

o Engineering/Manufacturing/Estimating/Engineering Business Development.

• Knowledge of CNC machining/manufacturing is essential;
• Able to read CAD /engineering drawings;
• Software literate (Microsoft Office, Social Media), at user level;
• Domestic travel will be required across all of the UK, visiting customer sites and occasional trips to either Surrey or Leicestershire office
• Attendance at trade shows and conferences will be required;
• Dynamic, well-organised, self-starter;
• Customer-focused approach and attitude – for both internal and external customers;
• Ability to manage prioritise own work load and work under pressure in a busy environment.

Please note that we expect this role to be out on the road a lot (possibly four days per week).

The salary is up to £40k (depending on experience), plus excellent commission, company car, laptop, mobile and other benefits.
