Finance assistantWe are seeking an Experienced Finance Assistant to join our client based in South Leicester. As a finance assistant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes, contributing to the seamless operation of the organisation's financial activities.Temp to perm opportunity Hourly rate: £13.16 to £14.17 depending on experienceWorking hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, Friday, 8.30am – 3pmKey Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring queries with suppliers are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end processes in alignment with strict deadlines
  • Collaborate effectively with the Credit Controller to manage and oversee all aspects of credit control operations.
  • Manage customer payments by reconciling and posting receipts and remittances, as well as processing credit card transactions efficiently.
  • Providing general administrative support to team members.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within an account’s environment is essential, Experience working within a manufacturing business is also essential.
  • Strong organisation and accuracy skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to navigate excel, including Pivot tables, IF Statements and look ups.
  • Previous experience using sage 50 is essential for the role.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and over the phone.
  • Self-motivated, reliable and good attention to detail.
