Finance Assistant - Part-Time

Macildowie is working with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Finance Assistant into their small, friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional looking for a flexible role with the opportunity to develop and progress.

With part-time hours and an early finish at 12:30pm on Fridays, this role is ideal for someone who values work-life balance while continuing to build their career in finance.

The Role

Supporting the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a range of finance tasks, including:

  • Sales ledger and credit control - processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with customers to resolve queries.
  • Payroll administration - processing weekly payroll, managing employee records, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • VAT and reconciliations - handling VAT returns, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
  • General finance administration - assisting with ad-hoc tasks and providing support to the wider team
Who Would Suit This Role?
  • AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent experience).
  • At least three years' experience in a similar finance role.
  • Proficient in Sage 200 and Sage Payroll.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
