History Teacher - Leicester-based Secondary School

We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' Secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher to teach History to Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a full-time and long-term role, potentially until the end of the academic year. We are looking for somebody who has relevant experience working with 11 - 16-year-olds within the last 2 years. Predominantly teaching History with some Geography and RE lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Predominantly teaching KS3 with a possibility of year 10.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Predominantly teaching History with some Geography and RE lessons
  • You will be given the regular number of PPAs to support with planning and marking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in history or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching History or Humanities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
