Hays Education are looking for Key Stage 2 Intervention Teachers to work in schools in Leicestershire who can support pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 to prepare for their SATs. Your new roleIn your new job as a Key Stage 2 Intervention Teacher, you will deliver engaging intervention sessions to whole classes, small-groups and on a 1:1 basis to pupils in Year 5 and Year 6. This role may require planning and marking or the work may be set by the class teacher, depending on each school's needs. An essential part of your new job will be monitoring and tracking pupil progression as they prepare for their SATs. You will be working collaboratively with other Teachers and Teaching Assistants to provide an excellent standard of student engagement, development and learning in order to prepare pupils for their next steps into Secondary School.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in your new position, you will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and you will have experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2. You will be flexible and adaptable in your teaching style and confident mentoring pupils of all abilities. Ideally, you will have previous experience delivering SATs intervention teaching and working with SEN pupils.
