Hays Education is looking for Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work on day-to-day, short term and long term assignments across in Leicester. At Hays, we work with schools across Leicestershire including Coalville, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Market Harborough, Lutterworth and Hinckley - if any of these locations are of interest to you, please get in touch!Your new roleAs a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the next generation. From planning and delivering learning activities for individual pupils and groups to assessing and reporting on student progress - a Teaching Assistant provides essential classroom support. In this job, you will work closely with class teachers to support and assess pupils' learning.What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this job, you will have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification. You'll also have experience as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom setting - ideally having supported SEN pupils and a strong phonics knowledge base. You will be confident working in the classroom, leading small groups of pupils and supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. Most importantly, you'll need to be proactive, energetic and dedicated to supporting pupil's learning. What you'll get in return
