About the role

ABC Teachers is currently looking for a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join us, providing support to secondary schools in Leicester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain discipline and manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups as required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Experienced cover supervisor you will:

  • Previous experience working with secondary school students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate varied school needs.
  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
