In this role, the CAD Technician will conduct detailed site surveys and produce precise general arrangement and fabrication drawings. The position also involves designing and detailing layouts and components, ensuring all work meets high standards of accuracy and quality. With a 10-12-week window from order to commissioning, the speed and accuracy of the drawing stage are crucial.
The ideal CAD Technician will have a background in mechanical engineering or a similar field, with experience in steelwork fabrication. The ideal CAD Technician will be proficient in AutoCAD, creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings. The ideal CAD Technician will possess strong communication skills and a proactive attitude, ensuring accuracy and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
- Conduct detailed site surveys of existing sites.
- Create general arrangement and fabrication drawings.
- Design and detail layouts and components to a high standard.
- Adapt to changes in schedule while maintaining high standards of work.
The Person:
- Background in mechanical engineering or a similar field
- Experience in steelwork fabrication is beneficial.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Flexibility to cater to changes in schedule.
