We are currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide support to special educational needs children across KS1 & KS2 on a full-time basis.
Monday - Friday (8.30am - 3.30pm)
Requirements
Experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably in an classroom setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, staff, and caregivers
A genuine passion for supporting children with social and academic needs
Knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum and safeguarding policies
The role
Assist teachers in implementing specialised education plans that cater to each student's unique requirements.
To track students behaviour and progress and report back to the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coorrdinator)
To follow ECHP'S (Educational Care & Health Plan) to ensure you are meeting the individual needs of the pupils
To deliver interventions and work with small groups of pupils of pupils and 1:1 to ensure that all learning is delivered to a high standard.
To be considered for the role you will:
Have previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
Have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting children or be educated to degree level.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the DBS update service or be willing to complete a new application
Be willing to complete our safeguarding training
Be able and willing to provide details for at least two professional referees
