Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a newly established residential children's care home in Leicester that provides specialized support for young people with emotional, behavioral, and complex needs. Our client is looking for caring, resilient, and experienced Support Workers to join their dedicated team for an immediate start. The home fosters a family-like environment and operates a therapeutic care model, making it a highly supportive and nurturing workplace.

About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing compassionate, structured care and support to young people. The role involves building positive relationships through understanding and responding to the needs of the young people in the home. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality care and support, drawing on your experience and skills and the training provided.
  • Establishing firm, supportive boundaries to foster confidence and self-esteem in the young people.
  • Ensuring the safety of young people at all times, offering supervision and engaging in activities that promote life skills.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 12-18 months’ experience in a children’s residential care setting, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Relevant NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Valid UK driver’s license.
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
