Contract/Salary: Temporary (3 months, potential for extension), 17-19 per hour (via umbrella)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week; shifts are 8 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with one weekend shift every four weeks
About the Role
We are currently seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker to join our client's dynamic team in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health issues, substance misuse, and a history of offending.
As a Complex Needs Support Worker, you will take a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to help residents overcome barriers and work towards independence. Your role will involve supporting residents with tenancy sustainment, daily living skills, and access to services that improve their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with residents as a Complex Needs Support Worker.
- Identify risks and implement strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals.
- Develop and review personalised support plans aimed at fostering greater independence.
- Provide harm reduction advice and assist residents in managing their tenancies effectively.
- Deliver both one-on-one and group sessions to improve residents' life skills and confidence.
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Complex Needs Support Worker role or similar position.
- Strong understanding of mental health, substance misuse, and trauma-informed care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviours and complex caseloads.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk management.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and empowering residents to achieve their goals.
