Housing Officer

Location: Leicester

Venn Group are looking for dedicated Housing Officer to join a Leading Housing Charity. If you are passionate about supporting vulnerable people and looking for your next challenge apply now!!

 The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conduct needs and risk assessments to determine readiness for move-on housing.
  • Manage admissions, transfers, license/support agreements, key handovers, and occupant inductions.
  • Handle room cleaning and maintenance requests.
  • Ensure Housing Benefit claims are submitted for rent coverage.
  • Assist occupants with rent payments
  • Ensure all occupants have active Housing Applications with the relevant authority.
  • Support occupants in maintaining education, employment, or training, and refer to external services as needed.
  • Conduct regular property checks, implement cleaning rotas, and facilitate house meetings.
  • Ensure adherence to Licence/Support agreements and house rules, addressing any anti-social behaviour or breaches.
  • Collaborate with third-party support to sustain accommodation and prevent evictions.
  • Provide ongoing resettlement support for up to a year, transitioning to tenancy support services as needed.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Full UK Drivers License
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Relevant Experience in a Similar Role
