As an Assessor of Work Experience Placements you'll play a vital role in supporting companies of all sectors and sizes, to provide safe, enriching, and valuable work experience placements for local secondary school students.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse industries, combining your communication skills and health and safety expertise to make a difference in young people's lives.

Based from home, you'll travel daily to businesses across Leicester, Leicestershire, and occasionally Northamptonshire.

Key Responsibilities as Assessor:

  • Conduct health and safety audits for businesses hosting student placements, ensuring compliance with key legislation and providing guidance on safeguarding, child protection, and data protection
  • Identify and encourage employers to expand the number of placements offered
  • Promote LEBC's additional services, such as corporate social responsibility initiatives, staff development programs, health and safety training and Apprentice recruitment
  • Accurately complete online documentation, detailing the placement job role, creating a risk assessment, and recording safety controls
  • Meet weekly targets, averaging visits to 25 companies
  • Collect feedback from employers through evaluation forms to continuously improve services
  • Contribute to team meetings with ideas for innovation and improvement

What We're Looking For

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate - Highly desirable.
  • Driver's license and own vehicle - Essential (non-negotiable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across various industries
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive, adaptable, and confident working independently while meeting targets
