ServiceNow Developer (ITOM)

VIQUhave partnered with a leading retail provider who are seeking a passionate ServiceNow developer to join their HQ in Leicester.

The successful ServiceNow Developer will manage the day-to-day operations of the ServiceNow platform including handling changes with vendors, testing and implementing projects, and identifying automation opportunities. The ServiceNow Developer will also perform system testing for updates and work closely with the Service Delivery Team Leader for expert advice.

Experience Required of the ServiceNow Developer (ITOM):

  • Extensive hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform development
  • Proven expertise in implementing ITOM solutions, particularly Discovery and CMDB (Configuration Management Database)
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) accreditation
  • One or more Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) accreditations (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Event Management Monitoring, Service Mapping, and Service Graph Connectors (SGC) (nice to have)
  • Active involvement in estimating and contributing to both user and technical stories
  • Track record of successfully managing large-scale enterprise platforms
  • Experience in integrating systems using REST/SOAP web services
  • Proficient in XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, Bootstrap, JQuery, and JSON
  • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, particularly with Glide APIs
  • Competent in project management, testing, and creating essential documentation
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Experience with MS SQL and Powershell
