We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our dynamic team across schools within Leicester City and surrounding areas. This rewarding role involves supporting children with special educational needs, ensuring their emotional, physical, and academic development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.As part of this role, you will provide personal care to students, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing are always maintained.Key Responsibilities* Provide one-to-one or group support to students with special educational needs.* Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and dressing, where required.* Support students in their learning, helping to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).* Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all students.* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.* Monitor and record student progress, sharing observations with the wider team.About YouWe are looking for someone who is:* Experienced in personal care: Previous experience working with children or young people requiring personal care is essential.* Empathetic and patient: Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students.* Flexible and proactive: Able to adapt to the varying needs of students throughout the day.* A team player: Willing to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school environment.* Qualified: Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.Why Join Us?* Competitive salary based on experience.* Long-term contract with the option of extending or "as and when"* Developing social and cognitive development* Opportunity to work in a school with a strong community presence* Willing to undertake a DBS through Aspire People or be on the update service* Unlock up to £250 referral fee for each recommendation to Aspire PeopleIf you feel this position is for you, please apply above and I will be in touch.
