Career Teachers Leicester are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a specialist independent school - home in Leicester.
This will be an ongoing, full time role, starting as soon as possible
About the role
- Mainly supporting a student 1:1 that has complex and profound learning difficulties.
- Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist the class teacher with general tasks, working closely with other members of staff to provide a nurturing environment for the students.
- help them achieve the best of their ability
Requirements
To be considered for the role of PMLD Teaching Assistant you will:
- Effective communication skills, able to adapt to children's individual needs
- Establish positive rapport with students and staff.
- Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
- Experience within a SEND setting
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

All quoted rates are inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay.
