Career Teachers Leicester are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a role in a specialist independent school - home in Leicester.

This will be an ongoing, full time role, starting as soon as possible

About the role

  • Mainly supporting a student 1:1 that has complex and profound learning difficulties.
  • Adapt to the needs of students and provide an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher with general tasks, working closely with other members of staff to provide a nurturing environment for the students.
  • help them achieve the best of their ability

Requirements

To be considered for the role of PMLD Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Effective communication skills, able to adapt to children's individual needs
  • Establish positive rapport with students and staff.
  • Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
  • Experience within a SEND setting

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
