Hays Education is working with an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school in Leicester who are looking for a new SEND Teaching Assistant to start working after Easter - or sooner if possible. The school provides an excellent education for pupils with complex medical conditions or physical disabilities from ages EYFS through to Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will work full-time until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
In your new job as a Teaching Assistant, you'll work with a team of like-minded, multi-disciplinary practitioners to support pupils with a range of additional needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Hays Teaching Assistants make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You'll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you'll have a minimum of 1 years' experience working with pupils who have complex medical conditions or serious physical disabilities, ideally in an educational setting. You'll be able to adapt to the needs of students across Key Stages with previous experience supporting children with communication and/or sensory needs. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to quickly build relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
