We are seeking a Senior SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Leicester!So what is the role? As a Senior SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to children aged 4-16 years with a variety of needs. You will help create an inclusive and nurturing environment, guiding students in their learning journey while also mentoring and supporting fellow staff.Key Responsibilities:Support students with their learning, emotional, and personal care needs.Collaborate with teachers to implement and monitor personalised education plans.Foster a calm and positive learning atmosphere.Mentor and assist junior staff in effective practices for working with children with diverse abilities.Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the school community.Requirements:Relevant SEN/TA qualifications.Experience working in a UK school setting, particularly with children with special educational needs.A current DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.A calm, caring demeanor and a genuine desire to help children succeed.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example.Flexibility to assist with personal care as required.Why Leicester?
